KS Designs – Keeping Quality at a High Standard

After working alongside Kevin Boertje at Mainstream Cabinets since 2017, Kyle Sieberg purchased the business in 2020. Kyle has maintained a great appreciation for detailed designs and high-quality work. Kyle obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NDSU and enjoys using his engineering skills and creativity to create custom designs for clients. He has found that it is very rewarding to design, build, and install cabinets that meet his clients’ goals and expectations.

Kyle was raised in the Mapleton area and graduated from Maple River High School in 2008. He moved back to the area after college, bought and renovated an old farm house, and he and his wife are now raising their children in the Maple River community. In addition to his work at KS Designs, Kyle also volunteers with the Maple River wrestling program and farms with his brother-in-law.

Growing the Business

To keep up with demand and maintain high-quality craftsmanship, Kyle decided it was time to grow the business and added John Franta to the KS Designs team in January of 2023. John grew up in the Winnebago area and graduated from Blue Earth Area High School in 2008. After high school, he attended St. John’s University for three years and graduated from MSU Mankato with a degree in Construction Management. John and his wife, Haley (Eberhart), and daughter, Harper, currently live in Winnebago. Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with family, hunting, and golfing. He has enjoyed assisting Kyle with the entire custom design to install process at KS Designs and has been a great addition to the team.

Kyle and John are available by appointment to measure projects and meet at the showroom, quite often in the evenings and on weekends. The showroom has several displays from Holiday Kitchens, Bertch Cabinet Mfg, and JSI Cabinetry, including both kitchens and bathroom vanities. Different styles of construction, wood types, door styles, hardware choices, and countless stain and paint options are available for viewing. Counter tops are also on display for Cambria, Elegant Creations, and Bertch Bath cultured marble, as KS Designs is a dealer for these companies. Samples can also be taken home for matching and comparing. When a custom cabinet is required, just about anything is possible in the shop located near Wells and Minnesota Lake.

Whether it’s a new home or a remodeling project, KS Designs uses computer generated drawings to help design plan views and create perspective view drawings to help customers visualize the end product.
